POSTURAL ISSUES

Good posture is important for a variety of reasons. It can help to improve your overall health and wellbeing, and can even make you look and feel more confident. Poor posture, on the other hand, can lead to a host of problems, including back and neck pain, headaches, and even chronic conditions like scoliosis.

One of the most common posture problems that chiropractors see is forward head posture, also known as "tech neck." This occurs when the head is tilted forward for extended periods of time, such as when using a computer or smartphone. This can put strain on the neck and upper back muscles, leading to pain and discomfort.

Another common posture problem is rounded shoulders, which can be caused by a variety of factors, including poor posture, sitting for long periods of time, carrying heavy things on your shoulder and muscle imbalances in the shoulder. This can lead to upper back and shoulder pain, as well as headaches and tension in the neck.

Anterior Pelvic tilts are another common postural problem to present to our practice. An anterior pelvic tilt is a condition where the front of the pelvis tilts down and the back of the pelvis tilts up. This is most commonly due to Imbalances in the spine, joints and muscles in the lower back

Your chiropractor can help with these conditions through a combination of spinal Adjustments, stretching, and strengthening exercises. They may also recommend posture-correcting exercises and lifestyle changes to help prevent the problem from recurring.

By aligning the spine and other joints, chiropractors can help to improve your body's overall structure and function, which can lead to better posture and a reduced risk of pain and discomfort.
